 Best lipstick everApr 18, 2010
This is the best lipstick I've ever owned. The color is extremely flattering on an olive skin tone and can be worn with anything. I have used it nearly every day since purchase and I am very satisfied.

Yes, this lipstick is expensive. But it really really is worth the price. I don't know any other lipstick formula that contains both acai berry oil and hyaluronic acid. I have fallen in love with Rouge D'Enfer, which is a cranberry red in the Satin line. It is the most wonderful red shade I've seen in a very long time: Dark, deep, bloody, devilish, vampiric. I would absolutely buy several tubes of this color.

This little tiny lipstick in a big cardboard box stuffed with paper... so pointless. Color and lipstick is fine. NARS website offers free shipping and they don't here.

Dolce Vita is a great, neutral color for medium skin tonesFeb 22, 2009
I love my NARS Dolce Vita lipstick. Most of my lipsticks get used occasionally -- but this one is an everyday staple, and I always use the entire tube. The formula is fairly creamy, and I would say it is about average in how long it lasts. Not as long-lasting as most long-wear lipsticks, but not nearly as drying, either. I don't think of it as a matte finish, as one reviewer noted -- seems more creamy and moist to me, not too shiny, but definitely a tad shiny. The Dolce Vita color is a neutral pinky-brown. It gives me a little bit of color but doesn't give the look of being made up. It's a very natural-looking color on my medium-fair skin. I usually wear much deeper colors so I was a little surprised by how nice this looks. Now it has become an everyday staple. I like the container, also. It's fairly small and very sturdy -- the cap stays on when I carry this around in my purse all day, the case has never cracked. It is a tad pricy -- and though I like it, I wouldn't call it amazing or life-changing -- which is why I held back one star.

NARS is so overrated.Jan 13, 2009
I don't understand why so many people gush over NARS products, as I've always been disappointed by them. The lipstick is no exception. Yes, the colors are great and NARS offers a wide assortment, but the product is very drying and doesn't last long at all. I suggest trying Stila or Too Faced lipstick instead, which are my favorite brands.
