I purchased this bathmat for my son who is with the special needs. It's not molding yet and not spippery. A very good choice for an elderly or people with special needs.

This item DOES NOT ABSORB WATER. More like the water pools in it & takes 24+ hours to dry. If you have a very small bathroom, this means wet socks every time you have to use the bathroom if you are home during the day.
Also, the water that does not pool in the mat leaks UNDER the mat, so the carpeting I was trying to protect with this product is wet, too, defeating the whole purpose.
Would not recommend to anyone. Ever.

I don't understand the negative reviews as my experience is just the opposite. The mat instantly absorbs the moisture from your feet so it's safe to step on the slippery bathroom tile immediately. I have no problem getting it to dry in a few hours on the floor, after 2 people have used it. It's easily washed and dried in the machines and even mud comes out. I like it so much that I now have 4 of them. I put the largest size in front of the door used by 4 muddy-footed pets. It not only dries their feet but absorbs most of the mud immediately. It's beige color and low pile style blend in with all my rooms. It's not just a bathroom rug in my house.

The FedEx SmartPost delivery method is slower than molasses, taking the maximum number of business days even though the shipment gets close to delivery point within a couple of days. When I complained, they sent me a duplicate but I had to pay shipping, even though I didn't request a reshipment. The original order showed up the day after I had complained and the duplicate was shipped before I could stop them.
The website says machine washable, but a tag in the package says handwash/mild detergent. Haven't used the duplicate yet but the recipient of the first one is satisfied with it except for the handwash part. I suggested using the gentle cycle since other microfiber products have reportedly fallen apart after machine washing.

If you are just looking for a rug to cover a spot somewhere in the basement, this is one you might consider. But if you are looking for a well-made, non-slip bathroom rug so your 85 year-old mother doesn't slip in the bathroom then this is NOT the rug you are looking for! The rug moves when you step on it in the bathroom and you can take your foot and easily slide the rug around and even spin it. Not exactly what you look for in a rug with a non-skid surface. Don't let finding this rug on Amazon fool you, it is exactly the same low quality you find in the junk catalogs that show up in your mailbox. In fact, the include one of their junk catalog's in the package. Shop for quality, not price.
