Didn't work for usJul 04, 2010 Although the bedbugz rail was very easy to inflate and install, it is not working for us. My son has fallen out of bed 3 or 4 times even with the bedrail, and we have it on VERY tight. Might not be because of some problem with the bedrail, we may just have too active of a sleeper but this isn't a fantastic item anyways. I have had to blow it up again 3 times in 2 weeks because it starts to deflate and it is plugged still.
Worked for us.Jun 15, 2010 We moved our daughter onto a full size bed when she was around 8 months old (makes for easier nursing during the night). We put her bed against the wall and used this on the open side. We put it on fairly tightly and put the elastic strap through the slats on the headboard and footboard of her bed (about 2 or 3 slats in from the edge). The elastic is fairly stretchy, but because we didn't put it right on the edge of the bed, but a few inches in, we never had a problem with it at all. Our daughter did figure out how to get around it eventually, but we had her bed very close to the floor and by the time she figured out how to get around it, she had absolutely no problem getting in and out of her bed...and much higher things for that matter. We really just wanted something to make sure she wouldn't accidentally fall out of bed and it worked well for us.
Bolster came with a hole in it that required patching; too big to use on twin bedsJun 08, 2010 I have three year old twins, and was really excited about being able to use this product, as it meant we would no longer have to take portable air mattresses with us when we traveled. I ordered 2 of these in the spring for a planned trip that required a stay in a hotel, but our trip was cancelled. We took these with us last week when we went to visit my parents because my twins were going to sleep in twin beds. My parents had one pair of bed rails we could use, but not two, so I took my BedBugz portable bolsters.
The first one I blew up had a hole in it upon being unfolded. We were able to patch it with duct tape, which slowed the leak, but if we had been planning to use it more than one night we would have had to reinflate every day. I could not use both of these on one twin bed. They require at least 5-6" on the outside so that when they roll, they do not fall off of the mattres, which didn't leave enough space for sleeping on the twin mattress. I ended up having to connect the twin beds, and used these on the inside to keep my twins from rolling into each other. I used the regular portable bed rails on the outside. Let me say, they were much easier to use and seemed much, much safer.
I would return this product if I could, but we are outside of the return window, so I am stuck with two very expensive portable bed rails that don't work well at all.
Doesn't work, isn't safeApr 22, 2010 Slipped off the mattress no matter how tight I cinched it. Child can slip under, doesn't seem safe.

Dangerous, get the Bed Bug Bumper insteadApr 06, 2010 I thought this was adorable and would work great with my toddler's crib converted to a toddler bed. Sure, it's cute, but after many nights of thuds and cries, including a bloody nose from landing on his face, I'd had it. It simply would not stay on the bed if he pressed against it at all. It would roll off the side, no matter how inflated/deflated we got it or tight we cinched it. In desperation, I found and bought the Bed Bug Bumper online from [..], a foam bed rail that goes under the mattress pad and bottom sheet. It is a 100% better product and actually about half the price. It hasn't budged in the last 2 months and he hasn't fallen out of bed once.
